Benidorm, first intelligent tourist destination with the Q for quality

Benidorm has become the first intelligent tourist destination certified with the Q Mark of the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE), after passing in 2018 the certification audit carried out by AENOR in accordance with the UNE 178501 standard of Intelligent Tourism Destination Management System (SGDTI), promoted by Segittur.

This has been announced by the major that has recalled that Benidorm has been working since 2016 to achieve this certification, whose implementation process has been coordinated by Mercedes Llorca, responsible for the Management Body, consisting of municipal technicians, the manager of Visit Benidorm, Leire Bilbao, and technical advice from the head of the company Tourist Intelligence, Celia Romero.

Benidorm has worked hard to become part of the model of intelligent tourism management, which will mark the repositioning of destinations, and in the very near future will not conceive of tourism and the success of a destination without the application of tourist intelligence, an application in which Benidorm is already a pioneer.
