Benidorm bets on generating synergies on the Intelligent Tourism Destination

Representatives of the city travelled this morning to Valencia to get to know the platform for the integrated management of Smart Cities that the city possesses, which is involved in the modernisation and adaptation of municipal services in their digital transformation, in order to resolve the needs and wishes of citizens in the most efficient way.

The objective of the Smart Tourism Destination planning for Benidorm, the world's first Certified Intelligent Tourist Destination, is to turn Benidorm into an Smart City by learning and integrating the concepts and initiatives that work in other Smart Tourism Destinations , and test them, to apply them in the socio-economic environment of Benidorm, and solve with them citizen problems and thus achieve a better quality of life for neighbors and tourist visitors.

An intelligent and sustainable city, says the standard UNE178021, is a city that takes advantage of ICT and other technological means to improve the quality of life of citizens and achieve maximum efficiency of municipal services, while ensuring the needs of future generations.

Under this premise, the delegation from Benidorm visited the Valencian Smart Office, holding work sessions and exchanging experiences.
