Benidorm towards a new model of urban public transport

La Plaza S.M. Reyes de España has been the place where yesterday, on the second day of Mobility Week, a new model of hybrid bus for urban transport was presented.

This model, from Llorente bus, is a hybrid, latest technology that features free wifi and USB charging points. The actions planned for Mobility Week provide that "all" users of lines 02 and 03 who board the bus at the stop on Avenida Orts Llorca "do not pay for a ticket". Likewise, on the 22nd, 'Day without cars', "customers of line 10 who use the hybrid vehicle will not pay" for the whole day.

New model of public transport

With regard to public transport in Benidorm, it is considered that it should be much more efficient and sustainable and that the concept that we have in our city should be changed, as it currently responds more to the needs of tourism than to that of the neighbours, which should evolve towards balance.
